Barkley Sound
encompasses a large area on the rugged south-west coast of Vancouver
Island and is home to some of the best saltwater fishing in B.C.
Chinook and coho salmon
as well as
chicken halibut are abundant, with the occasional
halibut nearing 100 pounds or more. Catching limits are common.
Our 27 foot
Larson Boat
includes all up to date navigational features, fishing gear and
comforts. Your catch will be professionally cleaned and bagged on return
to the harbour. All you need is a fishing licence.
A typical day includes 8 hours on the
water beginning at 5:30 A.M. to early afternoon. Why so early? Eighty
percent of fish are caught at daybreak, a window of opportunity no
serious fisherman will ignore.
Your guide, Larry Beyko, member of
the Bamfield Chamber of Commerce, has been fishing the waters of Barkley
Sound for 10 years and possesses an intimate knowledge of the area.

accommodation you may require. Bamfield contains a motel, numerous bed and
breakfasts, waterfront accommodations, etc. |
